Xandr is a visual storyteller currently based in Detroit, Michigan.

In 2018, after graduating from the University of Rochester, she returned home to the Flint area to be a multimedia reporter. She worked as a freelance writer, photographer, and project editor for online publications Flintbeat.com and  Flintside.com.  

 

She concluded her role as Managing Editor of Flintside.com in June of 2020, started her own photography business, and photographed for the Modern Queer magazine in November.

After stints doing multimedia work for various nonprofits in the Flint area. She went on to work for the Center for Rural Strategies and national publication, the Daily Yonder,  as a Multimedia Editor. While there she became a host on the newscast, The Yonder Report as well as forging and debuting a multimedia exhibition in Athens, Tennessee, about a displaced Black American community known as Free Hill.  

She currently works as an Environmental Justice Comms Associate with the Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition and is working.
